About Powwow Technologies

At Powwow Technologies we develop and maintain high quality responsive websites, enterprise web apps and native android and iOS mobile apps for a number of local and global clients based in Dublin. We currently have a small development team based in Dublin and we have additional business and development teams across Europe on demand. We are looking to expand our development operations.

Web Developer Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain WordPress websites
  • Design, build and maintain RestFul services
  • Upgrade plugins and libraries of existing websites
  • Refactoring existing websites
  • Improve websites performance
  • Improve websites security
  • Build quality maintainable themes/plugins/libraries
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high standards and consistency
  • Facilitate in the design, development and delivery of new websites
  • Write project design documentation

Web Developer Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or work experience desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of the software development life-cycle
  • Strong emphasis on Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
  • Unit Testing via PHPUnit
  • Experience working on a variety of software development projects
  • Experience with PHP, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, HTML
  • Knowledge and Understanding of  RestFul services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in an agile development environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • The desire to work in fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Bedrock and/or Project Nami desirable but not essential
